Our process begins with sustainable sourcing. We carefully select only the highest quality, fully mature coconut shells from local Indonesian farmers. This ensures our raw material is not only abundant and eco-friendly (as no trees are cut), but also possesses the ideal characteristics for superior charcoal.
The magic truly happens during carbonization. Unlike many producers, we create our own raw charcoal in a controlled environment. This crucial step drives out impurities and volatile matter, resulting in charcoal with exceptionally high fixed carbon content and remarkably low ash. We also employ natural cooling methods, avoiding water, to preserve the charcoal’s integrity and ensure a purer final product.
After carbonization, the charcoal undergoes meticulous refinement. It’s crushed to a fine powder and rigorously sieved to eliminate excess ash, guaranteeing the low ash content our customers love (typically below 2.5%). This refined powder is then precisely mixed with a minimal amount of natural, eco-friendly binder like tapioca starch, ensuring the briquettes hold their shape perfectly without affecting the burn.
